Cameron Trip With My University Buddies

Yeah, I went to Cameron Highland with my friends, Hawaii, Rachel, Kheng Guan, Lim Wei, Jia Yi, Hwee Phin aka Xiao Xiao, Ah Muk, and Ah Tai (AV and PR gang). This is the first time I went Cameron Highland. My friends laugh at me because I never been to Cameron Highland. Curious why they laugh at me! Because……. I am from Perak.

At first, we planned to go Penang but our Mr. Driver (Ah Muk and Lim Wei) do not really know how to go there, so we decided to change location to Cameron Highland! Not my idea but it sounds great since I never been to Cameron Highland before. The journey to Cameron Highland will be on the day after my first exam paper which is 16^th December 2009. We departed on 9am and we reached there about noon (forgot the exact time). We had our lunch which cost each of us RM10. After the lunch we started to visit to those vegetable farms, ‘BOH’ Tea Center and blablabla!

I saw lots of cactus, flowers and vegetables. They told me those vegetables look like my hair (because I perm my hair before and they said my hair look like cabbage.) But, I disagreed because my hair doesn’t look that worst lo!! We took a lot of pictures everywhere in the farm! Then, we went to the shop and bought ‘Sundae Strawberry’. It is delicious, with cream, vanilla flavor ice-cream and lot of strawberry.

We went to the market place which sold a lot of vegetables, fruits and souvenirs. There are a lot of tourists stop by and buy vegetables and fruits. I din’t buy anything there because I don’t cook. We do snap a lot of photos in the market. We really are “photo maniac”.

Next station is a place which full of beehive. Erm…….A place to breed the bee. It is nothing special in the beehive garden. So, we just walked around the garden and go to the next station “Boh” Tea Center. We have to walk up to the hill…. It is a bit tiring. Before we went up, there is a signage to warn us “SLIPERRY PATH WALK WITH CARE/ LALUAN LICIN BERHATI-HATI KETIK BERJALAN”. So, we climb up carefully!! Not climb is walk!! And we took a lot of photos there too!!

Finally reached the ‘Boh’ Tea Center, we took a group photo. Then, we went to the restaurant to have our high tea!!! After that, again, we took tones of photos. Here, let me share with you the pictures we took. Tadaa…

My Er Jie, the frequent contest winner

My er jie always wins stuff from contest she joined. See here for her list of winnings. I think her biggest win was when she joined the slogan contest for Olympic Torchbearer. Lucky or not?

So now you wonder why I write this stuff here? Because she joined another contest and ask me to support her!! So am I getting anything for writing this? I'll ask her if she wins again, ahaha..

My er jie now want to win a Nike Hayward backpack from smashpop.net. So, she needs to snap a picture holding a paper which says "I want the Nike Hayward from smashpop.net for Christmas" in the most creative way. Oh.. I am going crazy!!!!!

My exam gone... this exam is all about creativity. Oh my, i didn't finished my exam. I left out 2 main things which I got to do in the exam which is the rationale and the creative brief!

2 hours I need to do 2 questions :
Question 1 divide into 2 part :
part 1 : brand audit
part 2 : 1) radio script 2) print ads 3) billboard ads 4) tv commercials (4 choose 3)
and i choose 1, 2 and 3

Question 2:
need to create 1) 1 print ads for magazine/newspaper 2) billboard 3) 1 poster
must do all. with the rationale and creative brief!!!!!!!!
50 marks!!!!

and I .... do all the three advertisement but I din't do the creative brief and also the rationale!! What the heck!!! Plus... the misunderstand the question 2 ! they want us to create awareness, but I just do something like normal advertisement!! OH no......

Exam In Another 5 Days

PR course students do not need to study and very free all the time! Everyone agree with it. (Lazy to defense because it is useless for me to explain.)

People keep saying that PR is a damn easy course; you just need a good communication skills and creative mind. That's all people kept thinking and saying about PR.

Yes, I agreed. PR students really need a good communication skills and creative mind.

It is very easy for a person who already very good in communication and social. But remember not all the people are good in communication. Do you guys ever think that I am really good in communication? Sorry to tell I am actually not good! I do not know how to maintain a good relationship with others. So, do you think it is easy to be a PR? How about you guys? Do you guys really good in social life! I bet not all of you really good in it! People say, PR is so fake and so like to pretend. Oh ya, I agree with this statement and I admit sometimes I do this as well. The real world is like this! Pretending is just a skill to make you survive in the real world you might not agree with this yet you have to. Maybe you will agree when the times come to you.

Creative mind, do you ever think that every PR student is creative!! Frankly to tell, creative is not easy! You need to think and think and think! You need something different from others especially when you doing those assignment which you need to rebrand it or so whatever. Alright, maybe you are creative enough so you think it s easy but I am not creative so it is not easy for me.

Writing skill is very important for a PR student. If you not good in writing, you have nothing much can do in PR field. Why? PR has a lot of paper work need to be done. If you are not good in writing, then you can’t be a good PR even if you have a good communication skill? So, PR course is not an easy course. Writing is needed, for a student who not good in writing like me. It is a killing course for me because I need to struggle when I need to do an individual assignment.

This semester I have only 2 papers. It is quite free for me because I have only one paper counted in my CGPA and another 1 is just a pass or fail paper.

Brand Management is the paper that counted in the CGPA while Pendidikan Moral just a pass and fail paper. This exam I do not need to study so much because Brand Management is a paper which need creativity. This paper needs a lot of creativity and we do not have any theory to study on because we need to do TVC, Radio Script, Billboard Ads, and Prints Ads. Sound easy right! The problem is we need to draw out the TVC, Billboard and Print ads on the spot (explanation of the print ads, billboard and story line you done, not only that you need to think of the body copy ,slogan and so on). As if you are not creative and good in vocabulary do you think you have time to do all of them in 2 hours times? You have to do 2 TVC, 2 Print ads, 2 billboards or 2 radio script? Can you? I can’t. So PR is not easy for everyone!

If you think it is easy, why don’t you come and take this course? Why you want to suffer to take other courses that killing you? Dude, you just so funny when you said that!

Sometimes I really fed-up of you people who kept on saying PR is useless and blablabla to me. There was once, a friend of mine, erm, I am not really closed with him, and he said PR is just like a dog picking up others shit. I do not know how to describe but it is something not good. There is others who told me that, PR is so easy that she can get all A’s in the subject! She said banking and finance is the most difficult subject. Ok, I am not interest in banking and finance and I do not know how and what the syllabus are about. But for sure it is hard for me because I don’t like to count! Erm, I really don’t know what it is about! So, I think Banking and Finance are really hard too. If PR course is really easy and you can get all A’s why there is no one is in the president list? And there is only not more than 5 people get dean list? So PR is not easy! The main problem is PLEASE DO NOT INSULT MY COURSE!! I never insult yours, why you people keep on insult mine! STOP IT! If your course is so damn hard then you should study yours but not come to me and insult me! Deal?

Good Dream & Bad Dream

I no longer like dream. Bad dream make you terrified, sad, headache and blablabla... Just don't like it. But very bad things always turned to good one yet I still don't like dream because it sometimes make me sad. The feeling of having bad dreams is so not good!! Good dreams ? Oh shit, is a bad dream for me!! Every good dream of mine turn up bad things!! Haiz.... sienzzzz. No dreams better !! At least I can sleep better and sleep deeply like a pig!! And I do not need to worry anythings just like nothing happen. Or I am happy if I don't remeber my dream at all!!
Sadly, almost every time I sleep, I dreamt!! What the...........



Next, I will be meeting up my buddies soon... the date yet to be confirm but mostly will be on 28 of December 2009!! CY and PY will back to Malaysia. Just can't wait for the day! We hardly meet since 6 of us far apart!! Sounds so sad!! Gosh!! One in Singapore, Liverpool, Sungai Petani , KL , Sabah and Kampar!! Ok, I am the one in the small town , Kampar!!!! A boring town!! Wait for you girls!!!!!!!!!!! Miss you lots!!!!!!!!!!!



I am so excited because I am going to have a family trip to Langkawi and we will celebrate our New Year there!! How great are that!! Haiz, but my eldest sister can't make it because shew is going somewhere else with her friends!! I do hope we can go there together!!

Update

Been a long time never blog. Actually I have a lot of story to tell, due to the laziness so I just waited for my good mood to blog it out!! Give me few days time and I will blog everything for you guys to read.
